Shortly before school ended for the year, your child took part in the 2016 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), the computer-based tests for English language arts/literacy and mathematics.
The majority of student score reports will be mailed in early August, followed by a small percentage later this summer. If you have not received your student's score report by the start of the 2016-17 school year, you may visit your school office for a copy. If you have questions about your student's scores, please arrange a conference after the start of the school year to discuss your child's progress and ways to support their learning this school year.
NOTE: Student Score Reports for the California Alternate Assessments (CAAs) in grades 3-8, and/or the California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA) for Science in grades 5 and 8, will be printed and distributed in the fall of 2016 following approval of the threshold scores for the CAAs that allow assignment of performance levels.
We've updated our CAASPP Results Pages with the latest resources and guides from the CDE to assist parents in understanding the 2016 student score reports. Below are the links to these informational pages and CDE resource pages.
