Guidelines for Submitting Certificated Applications

Paper application forms are also available by contacting our Office. Additional requirements such as resumes, cover letters, or reference letters may be sent under separate cover and do not need to be attachments on EDJOIN.

To be accepted and paper screened:

  • Completed application packets may be faxed, mailed or delivered by hand to the district office by the designated due date. Our fax number is (408) 559-1670.
  • Applications for an advertised position will be placed in a paper screening process.
  • Applications must be word processed, typed or printed clearly.
  • All information requested must be completed and signed even though a resume is submitted.
  • Reference letters must be signed by the author.
  • Resumes are required and accepted with the application.
  • Out-of-State candidates must submit copies of transcripts for application packets to be considered complete.
  • Out-of-Country candidates must submit copies of their evaluated transcripts for application packets to be considered complete.

Following paper screening:

  • An examination may be required for certain positions.
  • Applicants will be called to schedule interviews.
  • Due to the high number of applications, only those applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
  • Applications will be held for one year unless requested otherwise by the applicant.
