As we enter the month of November, I want to take the opportunity to convey a warm thank-you to every single community and staff member that contribute to the education of our students in Union School District. I am grateful as superintendent to be able to interact with our wonderful teachers, classified staff, parents and students daily. Each of you play an important role in the learning of each and every child, and it is important we continue to advocate for all students as they grow and learn.
In November, parents of elementary school students will have an opportunity to conference with their child’s teacher, celebrate successes, and collaborate on their child’s progress. Parent-Teacher conferences are an important part of our communication with our families, and I commend each parent in participating in that collaborative partnership with our educators. So many parents have taken active roles in our wider school communities, going beyond their child’s classroom, that I am in awe of the amazing events made possible by our dedicated parent community.
Later this month, during the Thanksgiving holiday week, I hope each of you can enjoy the precious time with your family and friends coming together. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and all of us in Union School District, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
