At Union School District, we believe in modeling a positive social media culture by sharing examples of the learning happening in our schools. Social Media platforms are used by schools across the country to share, promote and celebrate learning every day. There is a very active community of educators on social media that use tools like Twitter for positive collaboration. Local districts include Cupertino Unified, Los Altos School District, Campbell Elementary and Moreland Elementary.
Our schools actively share their learning through their School twitter accounts. To follow the learning happening throughout Union School District, please visit the twitter accounts below:

Our use of pictures and media on school websites, including school and district social media accounts, is outlined in our Annual Parent’s Rights Notification Handbook:
“Staff, students, community partners and members of the news media, including newspaper photographers and television cameramen may photograph district or school-wide events, assemblies, community activities and/or interview children. Pictures and/or videos may be displayed at the school, on school and district websites, in the local newspaper, school newsletters, the Union School District School Bell publication or on local television. Except for a media request on a controversial matter about which we would notify you separately, this permission will cover the entire school year.”
We also believe in student safety. We will not publish student identifying information with pictures. Additionally, school and district social media accounts are managed and monitored by school district personnel. If you do not wish to have your child’s likeness appear in any publication, including district social media posts, please complete the Media Opt Out Form
. (Please submit a form for each child).
